The geographic variety that Tunisia offers within its compact space is outstanding on this soil you will  witness an outstanding geographic variety within a compact space

During a single day journey from North to South, you move from a wild natural coast through pine forests to cross rolling farm land with wheat fields which turn from green to golden/ gilded  in late spring.  After crossing the mysterious salt depression of the Jerid, you wind up through oases of date palms into rolling sand dunes that glow in/ under the setting sun. And if you take the short half-day drive from east to west you start at some of the finest beaches in the world, drive past a line of thriving modern cities which date back to early Islamic times, cut through endless olive orchards, cross the heartland with its modern and ancient towns, and drive into the impressive mountains of the west.
